RTO Waste Gas Purification, Waste Acid Regeneration, and Gas Oxidation--Honeycomb Ceramic Heat Storage
What is a honeycomb ceramic regenerator? Honeycomb ceramic regenerator are categorized as inorganic non-metallic mineral products. They are high-temperature ceramic products with heat storage functionality, fabricated using primary materials such as mullite, cordierite, corundum, silicon carbide, and high-alumina bauxite. The manufacturing process involves mineral processing, crushing, batching, ball milling, sieving, kneading and mixing, vacuum pugging, extrusion molding,microwave shaping, drying, cutting and polishing, firing, and post-firing inspection.
Regenerative ceramics are functional materials that realize heat transfer through cyclic absorption, storage, and release of heat via the material's own temperature variation, with direct contact between cold and hot media facilitating heat exchange. They serve as the core components of regenerative combustion technology.
Key Application Fields:
Regenerative Thermal Oxidation(RTO) and Regenerative Catalytic Oxidation(RCO)technologies for organic waste gas purification and gas oxidation power generation;
High-Temperature Air Combustion(HTAC) technology, etc.
Classification by Shape and Development History:
Four types (generations) of products have emerged:
A.Regenerative ceramic balls
B.Intalox saddle rings
C.Combined plate honeycomb ceramics
D.Monolithic honeycomb ceramic regenerators
The monolithic honeycomb ceramic regenerator consists of parallel, through connection and evenly distributed honeycomb channels. It can be made into various specifications, sizes, and shapes using multiple ceramic materials such as cordierite, mullite-cordierite, mullite, corundum-mullite, corundum, silicon carbide, medium-alumina ceramics, dense medium-high alumina, and stoneware.
It boasts advantages that ordinary ceramics like ceramic balls and rings cannot match, including a low thermal expansion coefficient, large specific surface area,resistance to thermal shock, low pressure drop resistance, fast thermal conductivity, accelerated chemical reaction speed, and super adsorption capacity. As a core component of RTO/RCO technology, it functions as a regenerative heat exchanger and also purifies waste gases such as VOCs. While recovering flue gas waste heat and promoting efficient combustion, it significantly reduces NOx emissions, and is widely used in RTO and RCO devices for waste gas purification and gas oxidation.
